Elizabeth Joy Roe is one of those rare musicians whose artistry and mission are genuinely inseparable. Hailed as “brilliant” by the New York Times, “an artist to be taken seriously” by the Chicago Tribune, and “electrifying” by the Dallas Morning News, she has performed across five continents at venues from Carnegie Hall to the Seoul Arts Center, recorded for Decca Classics and Deutsche Grammophon, and hosted the live webcasts of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition for a global audience. Her mission, in her own words, is to connect with others through the inspiration, joy, and essential humanity of music. That mission finds its ideal home in the Well-Being Concert series. With Meena Bhasin as host, this December evening promises to be something special: virtuosity in service of presence, and music as an act of genuine care.
