yeemz is the artist project of Yi-Mei Templeman — the cellist of Trio Gaia, who you can also hear on our Mainstage just two days later. But where Trio Gaia operates in the world of classical chamber music, yeemz inhabits a different sonic space entirely: intimate, indie-folk, and deeply personal, with a signature approach in which she sings while playing the cello like a guitar. Her debut album, produced with Leroy James Clampitt (Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, Madison Beer) and released on Harbour Records, showcases a musician who draws inspiration from literature, classical music, and the indie-folk world she grew up loving — creating music that is, in her own words, “intimate yet universal, intricate yet accessible.” For the Well-Being Concert series, yeemz offers something rare: a solo artist in complete creative command of her instrument, her voice, and the room.
